About Razz “The Exploding Drummer”

Razz is a drummer living in Austin, TX with 15 years of professional experience available for hire for session work, drum lessons or pro-level drum tech services. Can play most popular styles (and then some), sight-read, play impeccably with the click, quickly adapt to musical situations, play for the songs with taste, and perform with explosive showmanship if needed live. Has own transportation, pro-level gear that’s always well maintained and world-class studio access.

Razz currently performs regularly with Drastik IV , a bombastic rock group fronted by rapper Drastik. They were South by Southwest 2011’s #5 must see band according to Study Breaks magazine and top 10 SXSW Hip Hop acts in the Austin Chronicle. They also placed 2nd in TRCoA’s 2011 Unsigned Artist Competition out of over 400 bands,  have recorded with Blue October bassist and producer Matt Noveskey, tour regionally often and have performed at the Cutting Edge Music Conference in New Orleans for the last two years.

Razz is also a pro level drum tech having worked with producer David Draiman on Trivium’s new record, and does professional session drumming with many regional artists and independent labels. Samples available upon request.
